3. Rhythm Study “Meet the Beats.”

A)Three eighth notes on the “and of 3”- clapping out the beats - then playing 5-7-1
notes of Major Scale on those Beats

4. Introduction and Explanation of the “ House of Harmony “ (PDF).
   
A) Analysis of “Cherokee” in Terms of the”HOH”

5. “Cherokee" Studies, “Be Your OwnReal Book” & How to Learn and not just Memorize Tunes

C) Find “Points of Rest” and the II V’s that led to them (see PDF).

D) Sing the Names of the Functions with Play Along and then by yourself.

E) Label the Primary Harmonic Voice Leading Lines : 7-3-Maj.7-6 and 3-7-3 ( see PDF)

F) Find the “Diminished Trail” Through the Tune (See PDF)

6. Practicing “Incrementally" in 4 Bar “chunks.”
 
a)Using Various Available “Options” for each “movement” ( or “event”)
 
7. Creating”Sequences in 2 ways.
        
a) Use of the same  rhythm in 2 bar sequences.
           
b) Using a “question and answer” method alternating 2 different rhythms over a 4 bar sequence.
